Privacy Policy

Effective 2 September 2026

Chinook Egress is a foundation contractor based in Calgary, AB. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than the usual boilerplate.

What we collect

Only what we need to quote and carry out work.

  • When you use our quote or contact form: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the location of the project, a description of what you are building, and any photos or drawings you choose to upload.
  • When you phone us: your name, number and the details of your enquiry, recorded in our own notes. We do not record calls.
  • When we carry out work: the site address, and the information needed to invoice you.
  • Standard web server logs: IP address, browser type and pages requested, generated automatically by the hosting provider.

We do not ask for, and do not want, financial details, government identification numbers, or anything else beyond the above. Please do not send them through the form.

Why we collect it

To prepare a quote, schedule and complete the work, produce engineering and permit documentation where required, invoice you, and keep records of what was installed on a given property. We keep records of the work — including opening measurements, site photographs, engineered drawings and permit and inspection references — because they may be needed years later by you, a future owner, an engineer, an inspector or an insurer.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share only what is necessary, and only with:

  • The engineer preparing stamped drawings for your project, where those are required
  • The permitting authority, where a permit application requires it
  • Subcontractors working on your project, limited to what they need to do the work
  • Our accountant, and payment or bookkeeping providers, for invoicing
  • Anyone we are legally required to disclose to

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run third-party ad pixels.

If we add website analytics in future, we will update this policy to say what is used and what it collects before it goes live.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for up to two years, then deleted. Records relating to completed work — contracts, invoices, engineering and installation records — are kept for as long as we may need them for warranty, liability, tax and professional-record purposes, which is typically several years and in the case of installation records may be considerably longer.

Your rights

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and withdraw consent to us using it — although withdrawing consent may mean we cannot continue to provide a service.

Email or phone us using the details below and we will respond. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We limit access to enquiry and customer information to the people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
